Jan Strandskog BVM&S PgC(SAM) MRCVS, Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine Veterinary Surgeon

Originally from Norway, Jan qualified from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh, in 2003. 
He worked in rural mixed-practice both in Wales and Aberdeenshire for a good 10 years, thoroughly enjoying the wide variety of veterinary work (“All creatures great and small”), before deciding to concentrate fully on “small animals” from 2014.

He achieved his “Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Medicine, PgC SAM” in 2015, and his “Advanced Practitioner status” from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2016.

Jan joined Aberdeen Veterinary Referrals in 2020 to be part of the medicine team. He takes referrals for medical work-ups to include gastrointestinal investigations, respiratory tract investigations, immune-mediated disease, oncology work-ups and treatment (chemotherapy), as well as general imaging (ultrasound, endoscopy, CT scanning).

When not working, Jan enjoys spending time with his young family and his labrador, Cyder.
